We regularly meet with ProVeg Czechia at various events and projects because we share a common goal – to support companies in achieving better results in ESG, that is, environmental responsibility, social aspects, and corporate governance. In January, we confirmed this commitment by signing a memorandum of strategic cooperation. On behalf of our organization, it was signed by CEO Lucie Siskosová, and on behalf of ProVeg Czechia, co-director Martin Ranninger.

ProVeg Czechia focuses on transforming the global food system and supports the shift towards plant-based and cultivated alternatives to animal products. Together, we want to provide companies with the necessary tools and strategies to effectively improve their ESG scores and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Achieving higher ESG standards today involves not only reducing the carbon footprint and efficient use of natural resources, but also transforming food systems towards a greater share of plant-based products. Research confirms that plant-based production has a significantly lower environmental impact. The production of plant-based foods has, on average, up to 70 percent lower carbon footprint than animal-based production. Limiting the consumption of animal products helps protect water and agricultural land, which is key to preserving biodiversity. Supporting plant-based diets is also in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the food industry.
One of the specific outcomes of our cooperation was a report for the Vyspělé Česko conference, organized by the Změna k lepšímu initiative. The study showed that switching to a plant-based menu can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of event catering – in this case, by up to eight times.
Joint activities and projects with ProVeg Czechia are an inspiration and an opportunity for us to support companies in implementing sustainable solutions. We look forward to further cooperation and believe that together we can contribute to positive change.
