LCA

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a method of assessing the potential environmental impacts of products and services over their life cycle. From the extraction and sourcing of the necessary raw materials to the end of life.

LCA services

Product, Service and Technology Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

  • Life cycle assessment of products and services is always carried out in accordance with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 in the selected scope: Cradle to Gate, Cradle to Grave and others.
  • We deal with interdisciplinary projects – chemical industry, steel production, automotive, building products according to ISO 15804+A2. We also have experience with fertilizers, alternative energy sources, drugstore goods and rolling stock.

Type III Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

Ecodesign and evaluation of decarbonisation opportunities

  • We will assess the design or implementation of alternative technological solutions using comparative LCA analysis in terms of potential environmental impacts.
  • Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)
  • We identify life cycle stages, product parts or processes that have the highest decarbonisation potential.

CFP Calculator

  • We will create a customized MS Excel tool to calculate the emissions of the product portfolio.
  • We will provide you with the necessary emission factors and enable the integration of the tool into your internal system.

Additional services within LCA

  • product communication strategy according to technical standards and current practices to prevent greenwashing
  • creation of LCA model for internal use in open-source software
  • mediation of emission factors (e.g. sub-licensing agreement of the ecoinvent database)
  • critical review of existing CFP or LCA studies

“There can be many motivations for conducting an LCA study. However, the most common one is the need for a tender or selection procedure in which an environmental profile of the product is required from the participant. In these cases, we have experience in the preparation of an LCA study, but also of a third type of environmental statement, the so-called EPD.”
