EnviTrail carried out an independent verification of the carbon footprint by Prusa Research, which enabled it to conclude that the calculation methodology was applied correctly. After verification and independent recalculation of the total carbon footprint, we arrived at a Prusa Research total carbon footprint deviation of less than 1% on a "more eyes can see" basis.

Prusa Research is a Czech company producing 3D printers. With more than ten years of experience in the field, Prusa Research has become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of 3D printers.

The company’s philosophy is simple: to produce quality and affordable products that improve the lives of people around the world. The company is proud that their printers are designed, developed and manufactured directly in the Czech Republic, which allows them to maintain a high level of quality while supporting the local economy. Prusa Research prides itself on bringing innovative solutions to its customers and constantly pushing the boundaries of 3D printing.

Prusa Research has had its carbon footprint calculated so that it can take a proactive approach to decarbonisation. The aim was to identify where it has the greatest impact and to assess where the company should direct resources in the future to actively reduce its carbon footprint.

To verify the carbon footprint, the company worked with EnviTrail, which confirmed the accuracy of the methodology used with a margin of error of less than 1%. They also calculated the carbon footprint for their best-selling printer, the Original Prusa i3 MK3S+.
